ABOUT US
The music publisher was founded in 1983 with the cassette release "30 min. Sax music" under the label GNU records. This was followed by further music productions with cassettes, until 1989 the first maxi-single "Munsterparty" with the Choo Choo Aero Big Band was released. Then the CD was featured.
Choo Choo light, Unternehmen Kobra and other albums were released here.
From the year 2000 Norbert R. Stammberger concentrated on his own works. Then came the much noticed and broadcasted CD "re-blowings" with solo recitals on the prepared and electronically amplified saxophone. The cycle "Poem I-X" has been running from 2006 to 2015.
Since then, up to 5 new publications have appeared annually, such as Duo Stammberger Okuda, DBL BTR Concept, Stammberger solo and duo.
In 2018 he received the APPLAUS Spielstättenpreis for his concert series "HAUSKONZERTE" in the KlangBüro. In 2019 Norbert R. Stammberger was with the CD PoemX on the longlist of the "Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik" in the category "Border Crossings". For 2021, Norbert Stammberger was selected with his project DBL BTR 4TET (Double Beater Quartet) Tribal Error for NEUSTART KULTUR by the music fund of the Federal Culture Foundation. The publisher is aiming for the German Jazz Prize in 2021.
